Tips on Tuesday!
As you begin the process of design your event or wedding, there are crucial steps to take. As a florist, it is helpful when you come to me with a vision of your colors and overall themes. A client that comes in focused with a plan, is one that gets the greatest results and has the most confidence in the final results. Now, if you have an varying idea of what it is you want, the final results can be just as wonderful with a little more time invested on both sides, and a lot more patience. I have three suggestions to create an event that will make your visit and time used in the most efficient way.
First, have a tangible example of your color choices: i.e. ribbon, pillow case, toothbrush, towel, t-shirt. Anything that is represents the color you would like. A magazine cut out with 20 colors on the page can be a little tricky because there is always the chance you may not be looking at the same thing as I am. Also, please note that photography changes the original color of some objects. So it can be hard to recreate a specific color.
Second, ask questions. Ask me to explain to why, when, where. Ask me to explain my vision for your floral creations. Ask me to explain why I ask you all my questions. There is never a question that shouldn't be answered when it comes to your big day or big event.
Third, be consistent. Have a set place in which you communicate with me. I will answer promptly and with details and description and if you do the same this will create a smooth easy way to understand me as the designer and you as the client. It also gives you a record in which to check if there are any discrepancies.
It is always such a joy to plan and create. I enjoy it almost as the final product. I hope that as you start to plan these tips you can find useful.
Until next time!

Monday Marvels
If you know me, you know I love the saying "simple but elegant" which means in my own life things are basic colors with touches of crazy patterns here and there. I like two or three colors for just about everything. Now that all changes when I design, I am crazy, love, texture and pattern. Why then do I mention any or this? I saw this color board and loved it for work and home! It was just so fabulous I had to share! Its coming to you from The Perfect Palette
